Parley X Adidas

From Threat To Thread. This project was the first for Adidas Apparel focusing on a collaboration with the brand Parley and removing plastic bottles from the ocean. The collaboration meant creating a single yarn from used plastic bottles to create an apparel collection to share the need to support the threat to our oceans. This collection saves not only our oceans from the toxic plastic waste, but also creates high performance pieces that are visibly breathable and wicking. I worked on circular knit styles and focusing on the graphic direction and visual structures through out this collection.

Through circular knit, we could create a visual graphic read within functional and shaped structures to tell a compelling story.

Yarns made from plastic waste was my greatest focus for this concept. I wanted to ensure I could create visual tactility in cut and sewn garments as well as circular knit pieces.
